Every Black Friday, while most folks are scoring the biggest deals of the season, member volunteers gather bright and early at Long Beach Yacht Club to decorate the Club from bow to stern in holiday decorations. Each room of the Club has its very own live Christmas tree, decorated with a unique theme. This year we have six decked-out Christmas Trees, including two grand 10-foot trees that grace both the lobby and the main dining room.

The entire transformation from yacht club to winter wonderland typically takes 8-10 hours. This year we had over thirty member volunteers, led by Anne Shull, wife of Commodore Jon Shull. The Club used about a kilometer of Christmas lights and hundreds of feet of garland so that our weekly holiday events will have the perfect backdrop for all who attend.
