ICOYC Youth Exchange

Because our Clubs run world-class youth sailing programs around the world, the Council is pleased to offer its members the opportunity to team up and create travel and sailing opportunities for young sailors. Each youth exchange is individually organized by Council members at participating clubs.

  • Exchange of sailors between two clubs for summer sailing camp
  • Young sailors visiting a Member Club to join race crew for a keelboat regatta
  • Young sailors on regional tour of ICOYC clubs, racing in different boats and venues

In addition to offering the opportunity to learn from new coaches, in new boats and new venues, the ICOYC Youth Exchange has proven to be an excellent cultural experience, building our global community.

  • Participants must be at least 12 years of age, or as required by regulations of the host venue.
  • Boat class is not standard, but rather decided upon by the hosting club
  • Exchanges are organized and financed by participating families and the Member Clubs.
  • Participating Clubs have expressed an interest in working with other member clubs in organizing an exchange event.
