Long Beach Yacht Club coaches have been hard at work with the club’s Sabot Race Team. On July 5, 2023, three Long Beach Yacht Club Race Team Sailors qualified for the 11 and Under Sabot Championship in Newport Harbor. Congratulations to Zoey Cringan, Jack Brodsky, and Augie Wise on earning their spot in the Championship Event at Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club.

On July 10, 2023, Long Beach hosted the first stop of the 2023 Dick Sweet Team Race Series, which consists of three team racing events across Southern California, with the second and third stops in Newport Beach and San Diego, on July 17 and 24. Two LBYC teams will compete in this year’s series: a performance team consisting of Jack McGhie, Zoey Cringan, and Otto Wehner, and a development team led by Augie Wise, Jack Brodsky, and Taj Lewis. Both teams have been training hard!
