Chicago Yacht Club is looking forward to hosting the J/70 North American Championship on September 18-24. This prestigious event will not only welcome competitors from all corners of the United States. but will also draw international sailors from six countries. The J/70 class is an extremely competitive fleet comprised of professional and up and coming racers – with representation from several ICOYC Member Clubs, including Chicago Yacht Club, St. Francis Yacht Club, Coral Reef Yacht Club, San Diego Yacht Club, Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron and Eastern Yacht Club. There is sure to be a lot of exciting racing and tough competition over the course of the week.

Currently, 67 boats are registered, competing across five different divisions—Open, One-Pro, Corinthian, Mixed and Youth. We are thrilled to host these competitors at our Belmont Station on beautiful Lake Michigan. Stay tuned for more information about what’s sure to be a truly great event.
