The 2023 Sunfish World Championship will take place at Salinas Yacht Club in Ecuador. The 52^nd edition of this event will be held from September 6-16, 2023, featuring approximately 75 competitors from around the world who are between the ages of fifteen and eighty years old.

The Masters, Women’s and Youth World Championship will take place September 6-9, with the World Championship to follow September 11-16.

The Salinas Yacht Club was founded in 1940 in the beach town of Salinas, Santa Elena, Ecuador. A beautiful geographic location, along with its excellent infrastructure, makes it a perfect place to host this event. In previous years SYC hosted several World and South American competitions in different classes, and other significant regattas including the renowned Copa Galapagos.
