The 2023 J/70 World Championships, held October 30-November 5, at St. Petersburg Yacht Club concluded with a grand finale, leaving indelible memories of a week filled with remarkable on-water competition and memorable social events.

The final races on the last day of the championship showcased the incredible talent and determination of the world’s top J/70 sailors. The backdrop of Tampa Bay, with its consistent sea breezes and stunning views, provided an ideal setting for the competition.

After an exciting week of racing, where 10 races were completed, the winners in the various categories of the 2023 J/70 World Championships were:

Overall Champion: Brutus III, GBR
Second Place: Midlife Crisis, USA
Third Place: Dark Energy, USA

Corinthian Champion: 1516, USA
Second Place: Ducasse, CHI
Third Place: RAGNAROK, NOR

One Pro Champion: Vamos, AUS
Second Place: Eker, TUR
Third Place: Derecho, USA

Mixed-Plus Champion: Danger Mouse, USA

Youth Champion: SPYC Youth Team, USA

These sailors displayed exceptional skill, sportsmanship, and dedication to clinch the top positions in this prestigious championship.
