Annapolis Yacht Club and the 2027 Annapolis to Newport Event Committee are pleased to announce that the Notice of Race has been posted and online entry is open for the 41st running of the biennial event. Once again class starts will be spread over two days with ORC Performance Cruiser, PHRF and ORC Doublehanded entries starting on Friday, June 4 and ORC Open Classes on Saturday, June 5.

The Organizing Authority has created a new perpetual trophy to be awarded for the first time at the 2027 event—the Overall Winner in the ORC Open fleet with the lowest corrected time.

In addition to trophies for overall performance by class, First Out of the Bay trophies are awarded to the first boat in each class to exit the Chesapeake Bay into the Atlantic Ocean.

Among the prestigious perpetual trophies is the James Allsopp Seafarer Trophy, which is awarded to the yacht with the best combined finish in the current Annapolis to Newport Race and the previous year’s Newport to Bermuda.

The City of Annapolis Trophy is awarded to the yacht club with a team of three boats with the lowest combined score of corrected finish positions.
