Celebrating 25 Years of Alpine Adventure & Nautical Spirit

High in the breathtaking alpine region of Gstaad at the world’s only yacht club far from the sea, Gstaad Yacht Club proudly presents the 25th GYC Ski & Yachting—an extraordinary sporting tradition that unites the two exhilarating worlds of skiing and yachting. Mark your calendars for March 6-7, 2026!

For a quarter of a century, GYC has welcomed sailors and friends from across the globe to this unforgettable weekend in the Swiss Alps—a celebration of camaraderie, atmosphere, friendship, joyful competition and pure alpine magic.

Over the years, countless club teams have traveled to Gstaad with one shared ambition: to see their names engraved on the iconic GYC Ski & Yachting perpetual trophy. Participants in this unique event often return again and again, regardless of the final result.

The 2026 program is a weekend packed with action from start to finish:

  • Friday, March 6: A thrilling night skiing competition, combining speed, precision and the breathtaking ambience of skiing under the stars.
  • Saturday, March 7: The ever-popular remote-controlled model boat regatta, where tactics, teamwork and playful rivalry bring pure joy to competitors and spectators alike.

For the second consecutive edition, GYC is honored to join forces with our friends at the Royal Yacht Squadron. This year’s ski competition will once again serve as a qualifier for another prestigious sporting challenge, the RYS Castle Trophy in Cowes.
