President Sends Update on New Zealand Cruise

John Stork today sent an update to all ICOYC on the Second Commodores' Cruise hosted by the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron in March 2010.

"To keep you in the picture about the New Zealand cruise after the Commodores’ Forum in Perth I am attaching (click) more information from the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron Cruise.

The latest situation is:

  • All members of the yacht clubs in the ICOYC are welcome to join in the cruise.
  • It is a unique opportunity to sail in one of the top cruising locations in the world, led by the leading club in the country
  • Most of the yachts available for charter have now been reserved.  For any member who wants to come there are two excellent opportunities:
  • Sail with one of the RNZYS members joining the cruise
  • Or, join the ‘Soren Larsen’ a tall ship that has been reserved for the cruise.
  • The ‘Soren Larsen’ will be at the centre of all the action and sailing on board should be a unique experience.

We are keen to have the ‘Soren Larsen’ play a full part in the cruise, so do encourage your members to take a cabin and sign up as quickly as possible.  It will be a lot simpler than chartering a yacht!

Thanks
John
